  • I think this is such a cool idea, but there are a few drawbacks that may affect usefulness. But first I want to say the overview and attention to detail (like Hunger vs Bonus Hunger) is really cool. As for the drawbacks: The availability of ingredients is a huge factor for which food items to cook and which not to cook. The Head Broth recipe is very "effective" stat-wise since you can't eat the heads and it takes only milk and beet/potato for the rest. However, heads are annoying to come by and are very time inefficient - and you need two. Second drawback are items like Silver Algae, Cave Mushroom and Red Berries which are tweaked to only be viable in recipes. Comparing them to regular items, when they can't be grown, will automatically boost any items using them on your efficiency scale. All in all, I think the idea is great, but to actually use it I think we'd either need to account for availability or find a different rating system. --Tolle44 (talk) 12:09, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
  • I think that the things Tolle44 mentioned are very valid. Additionally, the spreadsheet does not take into account the fact that most recipes consume more wood than cooking the individual ingredients in the advanced grill, and also the cost of clay bowls. Some recipes provide less thirst than their ingredients (e.g. food compot, fish stew). However, none of this compromise, in my opinion, the usefullness of the spreadsheet. Any other measure that we use to compute the value of the rarity of heads, algae, mushrooms, or the 'cost' of bowls, or wood, or thirst, is going to be very subjective. The points we mentioned can be added as footnotes to the spreadsheet. And we could add that players should judge by themselves if the food efficiency of a certain recipe is worth the rarity or the alternate use of its ingredients. --Fredusko (talk) 16:34, 11 January 2021 (UTC)
