Sail is a navigation item in Raft. Sails do not stack.
Summary
Used to control the direction your the is going. Angle your sails to go faster than wind speed. When you have the wind behind you and you get up to the speed of the wind, you cannot go faster than the wind. If you however have the wind coming to the side and angle your sails you can have the wind get redirected and you will be moving perpendicular to the wind. So the wind will always hit you at full blast and can even go faster then the wind speed. This applies to real life sailing too. For an illustration of this effect, check the image below.
Uses
- Used to increase raft speed and change sailing direction within limits of wind direction.
