The Recycler is an Other item in Raft.

Summary[]

The Recycler is used to convert basic resources such as Plank, Plastic, Scrap, Palm Leafs or other Materials into Trash Cubes. It requires a charged Battery to operate. The Blueprint can be found on the top floor of the Radio Tower. If a player has a world that has progressed past the Radio Tower, the blueprint will already be researched.

Uses[]

Input[]

  • At least 150 in value, of the Materials/Resources, that are listed in the Table below.

Output[]

Mechanics[]

Different materials have different values, which, in practice, means some materials fill up the container faster. The max capacity of the Recycler is valued at 600. To make one Trash Cube, 150 units of materials are spent.

Strategy[]

Wool.png Wool is arguably the best way to get Trash Cubes, with two Wool producing one Trash Cubes. It's somewhat expensive to capture enough Llama.png Llama to make the effort payoff, but once they are captured, the Player can Shears.png Shear off the Wool every six minutes. The only downside is the cost of Net Launcher.png Net Launcher, Net Canister.png Net Canister and Shears.

If combat is preferred, Bears respawn every 3 minutes and can be killed in 5-7 shots with a bow depending on ammo. With enough ammo, bows, and the right island like Balboa or Temperance the Player can make circles between spawn points and gather 4 leather per kill. With proper raft positioning and solid route, one could maximize the use of both llamas and bears to massively boost trash cube creation given enough recyclers.
