tr The Receiver is a Navigation item in Raft. == Summary == Researched with the Blueprint: Receiver at the Research Table. After crafting and placing the Receiver, the player must also research, craft and place three Antennas. Turning on the Receiver requires a Battery, which is continuously depleted as long as the Receiver remains switched on. One battery charge is used every ten seconds, so a full Battery (of 50 charges) is depleted in 500 seconds, i.e. 8 minutes and 20 seconds. When turned on, the Receiver will show nearby points of interests in the form of green and blue dots. Green dots are Islands, while blue dots are quest related and require a 4-digit code to be shown. When first turned on the receiver will show the radio tower's code. Any code numbers you find will be recorded in your notebook. The Receiver has a scanning radius of 1250 meters, but green dots will only show up within the visible radius of 1000 meters. Blue dots are always shown, regardless of the distance from the raft. The second code number will be found at the radio tower. Entering a code number into the receiver will cause the associated blue dot to be highlighted with a square shape. The top of the Receiver display is relative to its orientation on the raft. In other words, the direction the player is looking when standing in front of the Receiver is the top position of the Receiver display. It is not related to the direction the raft is moving. == Placement Requirements == Before signals can be received, the Receiver must be placed on the raft. There are a number of requirements that must be met before the Receiver may be used for tracking nearby locations. The Receiver must be placed at least one full floor above Foundation level (a single Pillar's height) and all three Antennas must be placed on the same floor as the Receiver, or one half level above or below. All Antennas must be placed at least 2 Foundation's length away from the Receiver, while all being roughly 3½ Foundation's length away from each other. The Antennas can be placed a maximum of 10 Foundation's length away from the receiver before being too far away. Making the smallest design setup for a functional Receiver requires the receiver to be placed in the middle of the three Antennas. Then place two Antennas expanding out to the left and right of the receiver by two foundation's length, and lastly the third placed slightly more than 2.5 foundation's length behind the receiver. An example of this can be seen in the Gallery below. == Uses == * After finding Story-related 4-digit codes, these can be set on the right side of the Receiver table to reveal their relative location on the Receiver display. * Can be painted any colour with the Paint Brush. == History == early access foot == Gallery == <gallery mode="nolines"> File:Receiver Blueprint.jpg|Blueprint of the Receiver File:Receiver Display.png|Display of the Receiver File:Receiver Placement Info.png|Infographic showing simplified positioning possibilities.
