Net Launcher is a Weapon in Raft.

Summary

The Net Launcher is the main item used to catch and tame Livestock. Used together with a Net Canister, the player must aim the launcher at a tameable Animal, shoot the net, and hope it hits. The range of the net launcher is not that far, so it's to be expected that the animal will notice the player and attempt to flee before the gun can be fired. As such, it may be easier following the animal around as it follows a strict patrolling pattern. Once the pattern has been identified, the player can wait for the animal to run in a straight line and fire the net. The net of the launcher drops quickly, so the range is fairly limited.

It is also an option to gain an advantage by finding a vantage point outside the range of the animal and capturing it while its movement is minimal. This requires practice, but once the player has gotten the hang of it, it is the easiest method for capturing. Animals are not scared off by the net, so the player can practice distance and height easily with the biggest expense being Explosive Powder used for making the canisters.
