How to locate

Llamas are one of the three animals found on large islands.

Behaviour

Untamed Llamas

Untamed Llamas are a non-hostile creatures in Raft, However if the player gets too near they will get startled and start to run away from the player for a time until the player has stayed at a far enough distance for long enough, at which point they will calm down and slowly amble around.

Tamed Llamas

Tamed Llamas will not interact with the player directly, however they will randomly walk around your raft. However, they have a habit of walking off of rafts so it is advisable to build a pen for them using the Hammer.

Sheared Tamed Llamas will drop their head down looking miserable until they get food from their grass plots

You can pick up Timed Llamas at all times not requiring a secondary net gun with "E", whilst the lama is picked up, you can re-name them.

Taming

In order to tame a Llama, you are required to obtain a Net Gun as well as its ammo; a net canister. You then need to locate a large island (these can be found after finding the oil rig).

Once the Island is located, there will be a chance for one ore more to spawn somewhere on the island.

When a Llama is located, you must fire a Net Gun at it, if you manage to hit it, you can then press "E" on it in order to pick it up and relocate it.

Once the Llama is dropped, it will be considered tamied and will no longer run away from the player and the player can interact with it.

Farming

Once the Llama is taimed you will be able to shear them with shears by holding right click on them.

In Order for them to re-grow their wool again, it will be required to be fed from a watered grass plot where it can access it.

Trivia/Notes

• Lamas will take on a sad visage with their necks drooped whilst they are waiting food to grow and they have had their wool sheared.
