Summary[edit | edit source]
The Biofuel Refiner can be built after researching it using the blueprint found at the Ranger Station on Balboa Island. Mixing Honey and raw food items in the Biofuel Refiner will result in Biofuel, which is used to power the Engine.
Uses[edit | edit source]
- Mix raw food and Honey in the Biofuel Refiner. After about 3 minutes 30 seconds it will output Biofuel, which is one of the fuel sources used to power the Engine.
Mechanics[edit | edit source]
The Refiner turns one Honey into one Biofuel in a 1:1 ratio. To turn the Honey into Biofuel, the Refiner uses raw food which is kept in a container next to the Honey. When the Refiner is empty, the value of the contents of this container is 0. As the player puts raw food into the Refiner, the number increases depending on the item added. Different items have different values, which, in practice, means some raw foods fill up the container faster. The max capacity of the Refiner is valued at 400. To make one Biofuel, 200 units of raw food are spent. This means that a full container of raw food is good for two Biofuel conversions.
Raw Foods[edit | edit source]
Following is a list of the foods that can be used in the Biofuel Refiner and their "fill"-value:
|Item Name||Value||StackSize||Value of Stack||Amount for One Biofuel|
|Watermelon (per use)||40||20||1600||5|
|Bucket of Milk||100||1||100||2|
|Raw Shark Meat||125||20||2500||1.6|
|Mama Bear Head||600||1||600||0.33|
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- When the Refiner was added to the game, Mango couldn't be used as a raw food. This was fixed in patch 11.00.
- Watermelons can be used as a raw food twice, as is the case when eaten. This effectively makes one Watermelon worth 80 units of raw food.
